Personal Statement
My Master’s Project reflects who I am as a coach, leader, and mentor. Throughout my career from playing at the collegiate level, to coaching high school and Division I athletes, to developing young men on and off the court. I have learned that leadership is ultimately about service. I chose to build a podcast series centered on coaching, culture, and personal development because I believe the most valuable lessons in athletics come from real experiences, honest conversations, and the people who shaped us along the way.
The voices featured in this project are college coaches, high school coaches, and basketball professionals. That represents the community that raised me as a player and continues to shape me as a coach. My goal was to create a platform where their experiences could be shared broadly, giving athletes, young coaches, and administrators access to leadership insights they may not otherwise hear. This podcast is a resource that reflects my values: authenticity, accountability, resilience, and growth.
This project aligns with my long term professional goals of becoming a leader who develops not only players, but people. The lessons instilled in each conversation reinforce the belief that sports mirror life like how we respond to adversity, how we lead through service, and how we invest in others ultimately defines our impact. Through this project, I aimed to uplift the next generation of athletes and coaches by giving them tools to build habits, character, and confidence that go way beyond an arena.
